2025 Annual Report

Join the Table. Be the Solution.

When federal systems experience disruption, local innovation and community partnership create the pathways forward. Every person who joins our table becomes part of Portland's solution.

From Our Founder & Executive Director

Dear Friends of Feed the Mass,

This year, more than ever, we've witnessed the transformative power of what happens when we all join the table. Every person who volunteered, every donor who contributed, every partner who collaborated—you became the solution our community needed.

When we invite people to join the table, we're not just offering a meal—we're extending an invitation to be part of something bigger. And when our community steps up to be the solution, magic happens. Together, we've served hundreds of thousands of meals, but more importantly, we've created countless moments of dignity, connection, and hope.

With gratitude for joining our table,

Jacobsen Valentine

Emergency Response: When Community Becomes the Solution

When over 757,000 Oregonians—including 210,000 children and 130,000 seniors—suddenly lost access to federal food assistance, Feed the Mass responded immediately with community-driven solutions.

Emergency SNAP Relief Program
Our $100 grocery gift card program provides families with emergency food access during the federal benefit interruption. Starting with our commitment to support 50 families, we're working toward helping 500 families through this crisis.

Impact Goals:

  • 500 families supported with emergency grocery access

  • Partnership with local chefs for expanded meal production
  • Demonstration of community-led crisis response

Partner Spotlights:
Strengthening Community Together

Artist Mentorship Program (AMP)

Our partnership with the Artist Mentorship Program demonstrates how nourishment fuels creativity and community. Through regular meal provision, we support emerging artists and mentors as they build skills, create connections, and strengthen Portland's creative community—showing how joining the table creates space for innovation.
